<p>Bringing some of the most exciting musicians together to a stunning riverside location, the festival will become an epicenter of the best in handpicked British music, from internationally renowned acts to the most touted up and coming names.</p>
<p>Acts confirmed to date include indie rock quintet <strong>Cherry Ghost</strong> and Manchester’s own <strong>Badly Drawn Boy</strong>.</p>
<p>The Festival aims to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all ages to come together for a cornucopia of musical and artistic delights, real ales from local brewers Outstanding, and the finest in locally produced food.</p>
<p>Within the idyllic setting of the <strong>Ramsbottom Cricket Club</strong>, festival-goers can escape into a reverie with an eclectic mix of folk, indie and acoustic music floating over the surrounding hills.</p>
<p>Those wanting an even more magical experience can park and ride from Bury or Rawtenstall to make their approach to the Festival through the winding countryside on vintage steam trains.</p>
<p>With a host of bands to be announced over the coming weeks in addition to an array of other pleasures, stay tuned to find out more about the line-up for 2011’s most exciting new Festival.</p>
<p>The Festival is a partnership between 3 local, independent and creative organisations, Bury’s live arts venue, <strong>The Met, Don’t Panic Event Management</strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ramsbottomonline.com/">Ramsbottomonline.com</a></strong></p>

<p>Way Out West’s unique city-based format taps into Gothenburg’s thriving music scenes, with performances at the city’s clubs and cultural centres before and during the festival. Winners of NME&#8217;s &#8220;Best Album 2008&#8243; <strong>MGMT, </strong>and Mercury prize winners, the <strong>Klaxons</strong> will be joined by exciting up and coming acts including <strong>Fleet Foxes</strong>, <strong>Florence and the Machine</strong>, <strong>VV Brown </strong>and many more!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.redfunnel.co.uk/bestival">Bestival 2009</a></strong> will be taking place from 11 until 13 September at Robin Hill Country Park in Newport, Isle of Wight. Tickets through Red Funnel cost £149 per adult and £75.75 for 13-15 year olds, and include weekend admission, camping, postage and booking fees.
