Faithless fans party at final show in cinemas

The show that brought down the curtain on the 15-year career of Faithless had their fans from right across Europe joined in with the celebration along with the sell out crowd at the Brixton Academy. When Maxi Jazz surprisingly announced that this show on the 8th April was to be that last time that he, Rollo and Sister Bliss would perform together, you knew they would go out with a bang,

Those lucky few who had tickets for the sell out show were looking forward to an emotional and unforgettable experience, and they got it.  Digital distributors Omniverse vision and joined forces to beam this spectacular farewell live into cinemas to allow everyone to join in the fun.  This was the first music event ever to use satellite technology to do this, so Faithless really have gone out on a high.

Steve Machin, Omniverse Vision: “We received reports from Warsaw to Dublin that fans were dancing in the aisles, which is exactly the party we wanted for Faithless. We are thrilled that so many fans had such a good time at our cinema events”.

The full stunning arena production in the intimate setting of the Brixton O2 Academy was filmed using the latest high-definition technology. The broadcast, live to cinemas, was in full 5:1 surround sound where Faithless fans danced all the way to the encore that ended with the anthem “We Come 1”.

Peter Haynes, Vue Entertainment (General Manager, West End): “The Faithless fans were unstoppable! They took over the cinema screen and were dancing everywhere. The production looked amazing and the surround sound made the show come alive as if the fans were in a club”.

The final Faithless live performance, at the end of the Passing The Baton tour took place at their sold out gig at the legendary Brixton 02 Academy, London. The gig was broadcast live into cinemas across the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Romania.
