The Nottingham Youth Orchestra has become one of the UK’s leading organisations for young people in the East Midlands area with a love of music. It has even toured and performed in Berlin (2011) and the Orchestra is host to tremendous talent in its members. Don’t miss the upcoming concert to be performed on Saturday 2 March at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, starting at 7:30pm.
Guest performer will be the world-renowned cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, playing Elgar’s Cello Concerto. The artist told a Telegraph interviewer that he never tires of this particular work. He said, “I have played this extraordinary piece of music many, many times, but its fascination never leaves me and I always look forward to returning to it.”
The NYO will also be performing works by Vaughan Williams, Holst, Walton (the Crown Imperial march) and Nottingham’s own Eric Coates (the Knightsbridge March).
