Weekend at Bodysgallen Hall is ‘All about Opera’

If you are an opera fan, why not get yourself along to a the Opera Weekend Workshop for  one or two night, and also get to see the Welsh National Opera perform at Venue Cymru. Best seats in the stall are included in this fantastic Opera Weekend Workshop, as well as a creative workshop with the Charles Way, who is the writer in residence at London’s Theatre Club.

Also included is the accommodation with a cooked breakfast, luncheon, pre-theatre dinner and a pre-performance talk. There is also full use of the Bodysgallen spa available, which adds pure relaxation to the proceedings. If you are lover of opera and music, this UK short break in Wales is not to be missed!

It all starts on Friday 4th November with an introduction to the weekend by Charles Ray. After an early bird supper you will depart for the Venue Cymru and enjoy the pre-performance talk about the performance you are about to see; Don Giovanni. This starts at 7.00pm and afterwards you will return to Bodysgallen, which really is the ideal place for a UK short break.

On saturday, 5th November, Charles Way will look at the stories of Don Giovanni and Barber of Seville in depth and lead a stimulating discussion. After a delicious lunch, Charles will approach the creative writing element and explore different situations and character analysis. An early bird supper will be served prior to departure for Venue Cymru and the opera performance at 7.15pm. After the performance, we will return to Bodysgallen.

On sunday, 6th November, following a hearty cooked breakfast, Charles will continue his workshop taking a scene from Barber of Seville as drama. The weekend workshop will conclude over a delicious lunch in a private dining room at Bodysgallen Hall.
