Top musical names from the Welsh folk world will be appearing at the National Botanic Garden on Saturday the 9th of June. The day of the traditional Welsh-Breton music and dance festival will feature the Fern Hill stalwarts Julie Murphy and Ceri Rhys Matthews along with Stef Balesi and Peni Ediker from the Mordekkers.
Other stars that will take to the stage from the folk firmament during the day are Sille Ilves from Estonia, Martin Leamon (Sild),harpist Ceri Own Jones from the Bethlehem Village Band and the piper-flautist Jason Lawday.
Peni Ediker, the organiser of the festival, says that The Garden was the perfect venue to host this kind of event and that they would be using various venues, providing visitors with music all day long.
The plan is that all the acts will get together for a ‘twmpath’ finale to mark the end of the event. The music will be playing from 1pm to 7pm and is included in the normal cost of Garden admission.
